Payment and cancellation policy
15% prepayment of total price, fully refundable 48 hours before start of rental (Credit Card only).
85% of total price will be charged at the beginning of rental agreement by cash, credit card, or debit card (please note that you will need to present a credit card as an insurance for the liability)

Driving license and age requirements
Renter must be 20 years of age and with some of our partners 23 years of age to rent a jeep or mini buses. A full driver's license must have been held for at least 12 months and must be presented at the start of the rental.

Credit card imprint
All rentals are subject to the full rental agreement terms and conditions at the time of rental. A credit card imprint will be taken at the start of all rentals for security reasons, even if the rental has been paid for in advance. The credit card imprint may be used to pay all extra charges including extra insurance, parking fines, damages or any cost due to the rented car as a result of the renter's use of the car.

F-roads (highland roads)
Generally rental vehicles are not allowed to drive on Icelandic F-roads (highland roads). Each rental company can however make an exception to this rule and permit their customers to go through specific routes.

Crossing rivers in Iceland requires experience that most travelers do not have. It is therefore not allowed by rental vehicles in Iceland. Some rivers such as Krossá in Þórsmörk are particularly dangerous.

Rental period
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). When the drop is one hour or more after the pick-up time, it is regarded as a full day.

Pick-up and drop-off services
For customers arriving or departure at Keflavik International Airport all of our partners offer pick-up and drop-off services, normal additional cost for that service may vary between partners. For customers in the Reykjavik areas staying at hotels or other accommodation our partners also offer pick up and drop off services for additional charge.

Driving in Iceland
Road conditions in Iceland vary substantially. Travelers can have information on driving conditions at Icelandic Road Administration. In Iceland it is mandatory for young children to travel in safety seats while in a vehicle. A child seats are generally suitable for children aged from 6 months to 4 years of age.

Car types
Our partners reserve the right to substitute vehicles when the reserved car types are not available. The substituted vehicle must always be of the same quality (or improved) as the booked vehicle. If a car has been booked and is for some reason not available by our partner and car supplier, reserves the right to cancel the booking without any notice up to 48 hours after the booking was made.

Gasoline / Diesel
The rental car should be returned with the same amount of gasoline/diesel as on delivery, or a charge will be made for the missing liters.

Local Taxes
All local taxes are included in the prices.

Third part liability is equivalent to the amount stipulated by Icelandic law at each time. This also applies to the amount of individual driver liability. Third party coverage and personal accident insurance is automatically included in your rental.
